After losing her entire family in a tragic car accident, nine-year-old Na-Rim is left traumatized, suffering from amnesia and unable to speak. Fearing that another shock could permanently harm her, her uncle turns to Oh Dal-Gun, a fast-talking ex-gangster with a knack for impersonation, to recreate a loving family environment. Under pressure and low on time, Dal-Gun assembles a mismatched crew of oddballs to pose as Na-Rim’s new parents, siblings, and grandparents—all strangers to each other and completely unqualified for the job. Chaos ensues as these quirky misfits struggle to live under one roof, constantly bickering while trying to maintain the illusion of harmony for Na-Rim’s sake. As these unlikely housemates clash, fumble through family routines, and work to shield Na-Rim from the dark truths behind the accident, their fake roles start to feel unexpectedly real. In pretending to be a family, they just might become one.
